My Story
My journey into the realm of education and instructional design has been shaped by a lifelong dedication to learning and an unwavering passion for knowledge.
​
For seven enriching years, I served as a middle school educator, teaching math and social studies. This experience within K-12 public education refined my teaching acumen and sparked my interest in the intricate art and science of instruction. My commitment to excellence in teaching earned me recognition as a Georgia Master Teacher by the Georgia Department of Education, a distinction awarded to less than 1% of educators statewide.

With a vision to effect broader change within educational institutions, I transitioned into school-based administration, assuming the role of a middle school assistant principal for eight years. In this capacity, I not only developed my leadership skills but also fostered a collaborative environment. I facilitated professional development, provided organizational leadership, and worked closely with the instructional staff to cultivate a culture of excellence. Our collective efforts were reflected in our consistent top 3 rankings among 30+ GCPS middle schools in both district and state standardized test scores.

Recognizing the potential to make a district-wide impact, I earned a promotion to the role of Coordinator of Staff Development at the district office. In this capacity, I am responsible for overseeing the learning management system for over 25,000 employees, leading a team of instructional designers, and enhancing both in-person and virtual training experiences. My concerted training efforts have led to a remarkable 98.7% high satisfaction rate, a testament to my commitment to creating engaging and effective learning environments that meet the diverse needs of our employees.
